DJ NG feat. Katy B & MC Versatile – TELL ME

Originally produced and recorded in 2006, “Tell Me” featuring Katy B (On a Mission/Rinse) & Mc Versatile (Crazy Cousins) was DJ NG’s first ever independent release that eventually got picked up & signed by Ministry of Sound/Data records in 2008. This track, alongside a few other influential tracks, went on to help shape the UK urban/underground/dance/club scene (UK Funky) along with other original House & ‘funky’ producers like Invasion Records (Fingaprint, OB & Tadow), Geeneus (Rinse FM), MA1 (Karnival Music) +others. Despite “Tell Me” being the first significant so called, “UK Funky” track to be signed to a major, no official video was ever made for this song -even though it was promised by the record company. The track still however gained major success within club play and became play-listed on the likes of London’s Kiss 100, Choice FM & BBC 1xtra as well as every Pirate station going at the time. 4 years on from its Tell Me’s birth, the track is still echoed in club land today and has witnessed great successes for all three artists of this track with Versatile signing to Atlantic Records and Katy B’s current phenomenal success of her recent release ‘ On a Mission’ (Rinse) which reached the top 5 of the official UK national charts. You can find more information on DJ NG at his official website www.DJNG.com including audio of his forthcoming single Heartstrings feat. Cat Knight & MC Dogtaniaun
