Why you should care about the Food Safety Modernization Act

Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) and Jon Tester (D-Mont.) introduced a key amendment (download a PDF of the Tester-Hagan Amendment ) to the Food Safety Modernization Act, which exempts small farms and processors from some regulations and recordkeeping that are more appropriate for large-scale agricultural enterprises.
