I did this whole video by ear, so sorry if some lyrics are wrong! This is the studio version of the song, too (it wasn’t performed live). Don’t steal the audio either, I bought this myself. This song is NOT on iTunes and there is NO download link so you can ONLY hear it here UNLESS you by Cody’s EP “Coast to Coast” at Target or other stores which has this bonus track on it. Enjoy! Having begun his career as a hip-hop photographer, Josh now shoots advertising and fashion and is well known for his hard-hitting reportage work with subcultures and subjects including street gangs, gypsies, breakdancers and graffiti artists from across the globe. For the past 6 years, Josh has been shooting a personal project – ‘Physical Graffiti’ – about street dancers from around the world. As an extension of this project, Josh decided to return to Rwanda to shoot a film about the dancers there and in neighbouring Burundi. Josh first visited Rwanda to do a story for The Independent on his old friend Dicken Marshall, who went to Rwanda to start a ‘fair trade’ recording studio and record label, www.rafikirecords.com. Dicken then acted as producer on this film and introduced Josh to the best dancers in the region. The video to ‘In Pieces’ was shot in the most deprived and poorest parts of the country’s capitals, Kigali and Bujumbura. The idea of the film is to show the powerful energy that comes from personal hardship, which is a central theme of his work. ‘In Pieces’ is out now on Ministry of Sound Recordings. http www.twitter.com www.twitter.com www.facebook.com

Buy this song: www.amazon.com “Hero” is a song by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey. It was released on October 19, 1993 by Columbia Records as the second single from Carey’s third studio album, Music Box (1993). Originally intended for Gloria Estefan, the song was written and produced by Carey and Walter Afanasieff. While writing the song, Carey did not connect to its style or sound, therefore forfeiting it over to the soundtrack of the film of the same name. However, after being convinced to keep it, she personalized it, giving it a more pop and R&B melody, as well as changing some of the lyrics to more precisely fit her personality. Lyrically, the song is regarded as one of Carey’s most inspirational and personal ballads, with its protagonist declaring that even though we may feel discouraged or down at times, in reality we are “heroes” if we look inside ourselves and see our own inner strength; in time, it will help us “find the way”. Lyrics: There’s a hero If you look inside your heart You don’t have to be afraid Of what you are There’s an answer If you reach into your sould And the sorrow that you know Will melt away [Chorus:] And then a hero comes along With the strength to carry on And you cast your fears aside And you know you can survive So when you feel like hope is gone Look inside you and be strong And you’ll finally see the truth That a hero lies in you It’s a long road When you face the world alone No one reaches out a hand For you to hold You can …
