Switchfoot – “Mess of Me” (In Studio)

In-studio music video of “Mess of Me” by Switchfoot from the album “Hello Hurricane”. I did not make this video! ©2009 Atlantic Records/lowercase people records. Lyrics: I am my own affliction I am my own disease There ain’t no cure that they could sell No, there ain’t no drug to make me well There ain’t no drug There ain’t no drug There ain’t no drug It’s not enough The sickness is myself! I’ve made a mess of me I wanna get back the rest of me I’ve made a mess of me I wanna spend the rest of my life alive I’ve made a mess of me I wanna reverse this tragedy I’ve made a mess of me I wanna spend the rest of my life alive The rest of my life alive We lock our souls in cages We hide inside our shells It’s hard to free the ones you love Oh, when you can’t forgive yourself Yeah, forgive yourself There ain’t no drug No, there ain’t no drug There ain’t no drug The sickness is myself! I’ve made a mess of me I wanna get back the rest of me I’ve made a mess of me I wanna spend the rest of my life alive I’ve made a mess of me I wanna reverse this tragedy I’ve made a mess of me I wanna spend the rest of my life alive The rest of my life alive There ain’t no drug There ain’t no drug There ain’t no drug No drug to make me well There ain’t no drug It’s not enough I’m breaking up The sickness is myself The sickness is myself! I’ve made a mess of me I wanna get back the rest of me I’ve made a mess of me I wanna spend the rest of my life alive I’ve made a mess of me I wanna reverse this

Ottmar Liebert Surrender To Love (Nouveau Flamenco)

The year was 1990. I remember I had just bought my very first Compact Disc (CD) player. Before going home to set up the unit, I stopped by the nearest record store to buy my very first CD. And the CD was, Nouveau Flamenco by Ottmar Liebert. And of course, the rest was history!! This CD holds special memories from the beautiful years of the early 90’s. Ottmar was born in Cologne, Germany to a Chinese- German father, and a Hungarian mother. He migrated to the United States and settled in the quiet Santa Fe, New Mexico. There, he played in Hotels and Restaurants until a small time New Age record label by the name of Higher Octave Music offered him a recording contract. Nouveau Flamanco (New Flamenco), Ottmar Liebert’s debut album, was a tremendous success upon its release in 1990. It went Platinum, and paved the way for Liebert’s popularity in both the New Age and mainstream markets. His music, almost overnight, dominated the radio waves, having every new listener asking the question, “Who is that?!!” Surrender To Love, is a beautiful track with an appropriate title, from Nouveau Flemenco.
