His voice is amazing! I knew I loved the song but to hear him in such a raw setting , wow! When I hear this I always think of my friend that suffers from addiction. I know that he feels this way, he puts up that wall so that people will turn away and he can keep from hurting them. I love you James! And I will never turn away.

I feel like this alot. Bad and I think it’s all my fault. My sis walked out on my family and it hurt my mom, dad, brother, and me alot. I think she understands what she did after a few years, but it feels like she hates me. She let me down and I’m never going to forgive her.

  4. TheHAILEEC Says:

I feel like this alot because my sis walked out on my family a few years ago and I feel like she hates me. She got married and moved away and now she’s back at my grandparent’s place and I won’t go over there because I don’t want to ever see her again. She hurt my mom alot and she seemed like she ripped my heart out. I love Blue October for making this song! I cry through it, but I’ve read these other comments and I know that I’m not alone.

This is one of my favorite songs, and I like it even more in this live version. This is a great demonstration of how very talented every member of this band is to be capable of conveying even more emotion while still retaining studio quality sound.
Terrific band and a big influence on my own art.

the members of Blue October are amazing guys. Thank you, so much.

These guys have got me through some fucked up times in my life. There been points at wich the only thread of hope I had to hold on to was knowing that someone else was going, or has gone, through the same shit that I was, am, going through. The fact that he was able to take the things he has gone through, the wrongs that were done to him, and turn them into inspiration to help others who are in the same situations get through the dark, is so fuckin’ admirable. Justin Furstenfeld and all

  9. luckyrabbitfoot101 Says:

@gfabrec thats really to hear man, i’ve just started getting out of that dark place, i am just a teenager, but i was drunk every second possible and just hated myself and everyone else, so i though why not end it right here, and would sit with a hunting knife to my wrist instead of sleeping. But i’m doing better now, i love myself and everyone around me, but it’s still hard sometimes, it’s good to hear that people other than me have these problems and have gotten better. live, love, and learn.

@Gigglesrox95 ~ I believe Justin intentionally moves his head that way whenever he feels something in his music. Kinda like emphasizing a point. He throws back or shakes his head more during Clumsy Card House (on the Argue With A Tree tour #7/24); Say It, and My Ugly Side. I personally lov it when he moves like that. Those little oddities is what distinguishes him from his peers. But why should anyone care either way? Justin’s singing ability is phenomenal! –peace

@iamenjoi i guess ur right but i still stand by what i said for the most part like about them actually working on their music and making it personal but also relatable for fans and anybody who listens but i still wish they were more well known and respected and yea h theyre not a grab bag but i still think they deserve a lot more support but they dont need it

  14. iamenjoi Says:

@BlueOctoberFan456 I disagree. They deserve much more than money, they deserve the respect. Because money comes and goes, but respect lasts forever. You make Blue October seem like a grab bag, which is not who they are at all.

  15. Gigglesrox95 Says:

does anyone know why he twitches alot?
I love Blue October! They deserve soo much attention
with their music..it just awesome! :D

  20. imdsrt Says:

Gosh..I get goosebumps with this song. This live version is so much better! I imagine my exboyfriend singing this song to me…he left me because I tried to help me get out of drugs…and he chose them over me….I just pray he will get out of it one day because I still love him.

  21. BlueOctoberFan456 Says:

these guys put so much emotion and work into their music it sucks there not that famous they deserve a lot more money than those doucebag posers who have corporate money grabbing suits who write songs for them and edit there voices even though they cant sing they get famous for it wtf and boy bands too they just sing random love crap and get tons of money they dont deserve to be famous these guys do

  22. enwll3427 Says:

    song sounds much better unplugged

  23. FlamingBadger77 Says:

This song is full of emotion which I love about music, a song that shows ones emotion on one subject. Absolutely love Blue October.

  24. TaylorTotz101 Says:

Justin, apparently some people don’t know what it sounds like for a musician to actually connect to their music. Maybe this person doesn’t understand that this song is extremely powerful and can bring more than one form of pain into the song itself. Therefore, proving a different sound in your voice for every performance.

    That’s what I call originality.
