The first song from The Black Keys new album, “Brothers.” All copyright belongs to the devil record label, NONESUCH. There’s no use in telling you that since the greedy people in the record label will probably just take this down anyway. But anywho, here are the lyrics Let me be your everlasting light The sun when there is none I’m a shepherd for you And I’ll guide you through Let me be your evelasting light Let me be your everlasting light I’ll hold and never scold In me you can confide When no one’s by your side Let me be your everlasting light Oh darling, can’t you see I’m shining just for you Loneliness is over Dark days are through Let me be your everlasting light A train going away from pain Love is the coal That makes this train roll Let me be your everlasting light

ya’ll make up for it with rush, do make say think, godspeed you black emperor, the lovely feist, broken social scene, and others. i do hate fucking nickelback though. with a passion, but same goes for linkin park and all their clones.

I close my eyes, sit back, and imagine I’m listening to a nrw ELO song. Just freakin’ amazingly sick! I love Auerbach’s voice range.

How do I find mp3iffy to download this song? I was told to google mp3iffy.

I was sure that the lyrics were:
“Love is the coal
That makes this train roam”
It was kind of nice lol

@amays86 i’d say influence, not rip off, many black keys songs take licks n lyrics from other artists, not to rip it off, but to tribute the band

@packman2436 I’m so ashamed that nickelback is from my country. same with justin beiber. we’re sorry, if you’re not from Canada. we’re truly sorry. I’m pretty glad that the radio play is the way it is, but that’s coming from a person who lives in a city where all but one radio station boasts to be “nickeback free”
June 29th, 2010 at 7:32 am
@TheChickenOrTheEgg14 Agreed haha nickelback is easily one of the worst popular bands ever.. Shame that they get all this radio play and the black keysget none
June 29th, 2010 at 8:12 am
@packman2436 alright, i can see that you have a point, and I can see that those artists are incomparable, but i still stick with what i said earlier: he’s not my type of artist, and i personally dont like him, but who am I to judge other peoples’ music tastes? as long as you’re willing to agree that nickelback, justin beiber, and lady gaga have no talent, I would happily agree to disagree.

@TheChickenOrTheEgg14 You can’t compare him to those guys, they’re completely different (all great in their own way).. Listen to songs like Gone, We Major, Flashing Lights, All Falls Down, Spaceship, I Wonder, Say You Will, Hey Mama.. He produced or co-produced each of those songs as well as rapping about real issues an things anyone can relate to. If you want to see the true Kanye, watch his VH1 Storytellers special. He really is one of the most influential and important artists of our time
June 29th, 2010 at 9:21 am
@packman2436 alright, i dont want to get into some argument over the internet cause that’s really immature and stupid. but please, could you show me a kanye song that actually displays his talents? I’m just not buyin it. I dont think that anybody could possibly say that Kayne has any talent compared to somebody like Hendrix or Freddy Mercury or the Beatles.
June 29th, 2010 at 9:55 am
@TheChickenOrTheEgg14 you leave kanye outta that.. he’s an incredible artist
June 29th, 2010 at 10:53 am
this is what music these days SHOULD be like, not all of the fuckin pop stars that just want to make a few quick bucks using autotune and garage band. These guys have something real in their music that very few artists these days actually have. I’m glad that they’re not extremely popular (at least not where I’m from) because I dont think that the general population is worthy of listening to real talent like this. fuck lady gaga, fuck beyonce, fuck kanye, fuck all y’all.

This is such a peaceful/awesome song… talking about always being there for someone, being their “Everlasting Light”… this is -no- place to leave spiteful comments ^_^
June 29th, 2010 at 11:04 am
all of you need to take your pointless, drama-filled comments to facebook. Have a good day.
June 29th, 2010 at 11:21 am
is it just me or does anyone tap their fingers on a table to this song?
June 29th, 2010 at 11:50 am
@maclennan73 Well said, Mac.
June 29th, 2010 at 12:33 pm
this groove get’s so stuck in your head eh? it’s so simple, but it sounds so great. love the new album, wish i had some of their older stuff too though…all i have is Attack and Release…
June 29th, 2010 at 1:12 pm
Obviously they had T-Rex in mind………I mean they had Funkasaurus Rex to promote there songs.
June 29th, 2010 at 2:04 pm
I don’t like this song.. I fucking love it.
Black Keys are legit, by far my favorite band.
