I prefer KMFDM to MDFMK, and I see your point with Sascha, he’s the longest time member, there since Opium. En Esch being there till the 2000’s, Watts being there in the beginning and coming back again and leaving on and off. Sadly the only thing I really kinda don’t like is how it seems that since Lucia’s joining, it’s almost like the Lucia and Sascha band, En Esch is gone and i don’t think Watts was a part of WTF?! which I kinda don’t like. Kinda like a married couple project

My mistake on that one, calling it a side project probably wasn’t the best term to use as you say it wasn’t a “side project” which you are right about too. I just use the term side project because I figure when someone has been with a band as along as Sascha had been up to that point I consider them a firm fixture with that group even if they’re making music everything else I put off to the side, don’t get me wrong MDFMK is awesome but I prefer KMFDM over everything LOL

KMFDM had split up in 1999, and thus Tim Skold and Sascha Konietzko gave birth to the short lived MDFMK…and that’s why it also sounded a lot like late 90’s KMFDM with more electronica synths; this point being, it was not a side project of KMFDM, Sascha was the only real KMFDM member, Tim had been on Symbols and Adios—Tim only writing one song one Symbols—and Lucia Cifarelli not being part of KMFDM until Attak which came out in 2002, AFTER MDFMK didn’t work out.

Tim Skold Lucia and Sascha Konietzko….it was a KMFDM Side project in the early 2000’s

  8. LySeRgIa2 Says:

To me this sounds a lot like a kind of mutated KMFDM or KMFDM without the grit. You can tell who the members in this band are because you hear it in the music. This song guitar wise almost sounds like Skold, sounds a lot like Shut Up by Skold. This doesn’t sound like industrial or industrial rock or EBM or any variation, electronically it sounds like electronica plain and simple, thumping beats are the most aggressive electronics.
