—–Lyrics—– Are you going to live your life wondering Standing in the back, looking around? Are you going to waste your time thinking How you’ve grown up, how you missed out? Things are never going be the way you want Where’s it going to get you acting serious? Things are never going to be quite what you want Even at twenty five you got to start sometime I’m on my feet, I’m on the floor, I’m good to go And all I need is just to hear a song I know I Wanna always feel like part of this was mine I Wanna fall in love tonight Are you going to live your life standing in the back, looking around? Are you going to waste your time? Gotta make a move or you’ll miss out Someone’s going to ask you what it’s all about Stick around nostalgia won’t let you down Someone’s going to ask you what it’s all about What you going to have to say for yourself? Crimson and clover over and over Our house in the middle of the street Why did we ever meet? Starting my rock’n'roll fantasy Don’t let’s start Why did we ever part? Kick start my rock and rolling heart I’m on my feet, I’m on the floor, I’m good to go, So come on Davey, sing me something that I know I Wanna always feel like part of this was mine I Wanna fall in love tonight

I love all the name (or title?) drops in the bridge of this song.
(Crimson and clover
Our house in the middle of the street
Don’t let’s start
Rock n Roll fantasy
Kick start my heart)
This was one of my favorite songs from this album.

All those words-”crimson and clover,”(tommy James)”our house in the middle of the street,”(madness) “rock and roll fantasy,”(bad company)”don’t lets start” (they might be giants), etc. are nostalgic rock songs you might hear at an old high school dance.

i think that way too… love it <3

“Crimson and Clover” is a song by Tommy James and the Shondells, and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy” is a song by Bad Company. That whole section is a series of lines from classic songs, and it is sung by Davey von Bohlen, best known as the singer of The Promise Ring, Cap’n Jazz, and Maritime. (You might note that they later sing, “C’mon, Davey, sing me something that I know.”)

When I hear this song the nostalgia washes over me in an awesome wave

I interpreted it as a song referring most likely to high school years, and they were probably listening to the song crimson and clover by Tommy James a lot – and the rock and roll fantasy is them starting their band and moving on…I could be completely wrong though haha just a guess

I really don’t understand the crimson and clover part, and rock and roll fantasy. Makes little to no sense

Nostalgia, I love that feeling when I hear a song I haven’t thought of in years.
