i just realized while listening this on iTunes, does anyone else hear someone shouting “Cassiopeia” (Shabütie’s song, pure awesomeness<3) at 0:19 or something?

@Prologue2113 Yea, you can easily tell his voice has gotten lower (obviously). I noticed when I listened to Hush and Deranged more recently, it actually sounded a little higher to me than most of Year of the Black Rainbow. Made me happy, because I will admit I loved his voice more when it was higher (I still love it now, don’t get me wrong), so I was pleased to hear he can still do it to some degree

@Samuelwhatshisface There’s a video I watched where Claudio played an acoustic version of that live, and he said he really doesn’t like playing it, ’cause it’s about a girlfriend that broke his heart or something. I forget exactly what he might have said, but yea

The one person who disliked this video was obviously Wilhelm Ryan.

@Prologue2113 im a big fan of cohhed and i completly agree with you cuz the human voice can only take so much strain. its actually a miricle that he lasted as long as he did so if your a true fan you will stick with coheed no matter how his voice sounds high low or no voice at all

Yeah, Claudio is older now, and everyone changes in time. People still want to blast the band because he doesn’t sing as high as he used to, but Claudio is working with it as it comes, and that’s what really sets him apart from most artists. And for the people who dislike this video, Hell hath no fury for your lack of appreciation in good, honest music.

@rockster07 That’s fair. But, I really love going back to listen to SSTB and hear how high his voice can get. His voice has certainly progressed, and I love it either way

@osostewie2 Ha. Congrats. Yeah I was at the SSTB tour. They did the entire album, acoustic set, and encore. Most likely the same thing you are going to. Really amazing show. You can buy the audio from the shows too once its up on the web.

@schlynn It was crazy! They played 28 songs. They opened with maybe an 8 or 9 song acoustic set, then they played SSTB straight through, start to finish. After that they played a more normal set that had a lot of songs from Good Apollo and No World (My two favorite albums). It was great. Chris Penne really knows how to tear up the drums man, his grooves some of the songs were freaking thick. You are going to enjoy the concert, it was my second favorite concert I’ve been too.
